April 7th 2008: Bominflot going physical in Kali Limenes, Crete
From the beginning of April 2008 the Bominflot Group has started offering full bunker service at Kali Limenes, Crete.
The strategic location of Kali Limenes allows Bominflot to offer to their customers another supply alternative in the Mediterranean, further to the existing locations in Athens, Malta, Ceuta, Gibraltar and the Canary Islands.
Kali Limenes is located directly en-route from Suez Canal to Malta and Gibraltar and provides therefore a price attractive bunker only option.
In addition to the main grades of IFO 380cst (RMG 380) and IFO 180cst (RME 180) and Gasoil DMA (dyed black), low sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) of 380cst and 180cst will be available.
Supplies are carried out by barge and ex installation.
The fuel oil barge is able to carry up to 2,300 tons of fuel oil or 1,700 tons fuel and up to 600 tons gas oil. The barge pumping rates are 250/150 tons per hour and 400/150 tons ex installation.
